Our outreach ministry is three ways focus guided by the scripture
You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth? (Acts 1:8)
Local Missions (Jerusalem)
Upendo Church determined to reach neighbors in community, sharing our faith and inviting them to be part of our worship service. We do this through ministries like evangelism every 4th Saturday of the month, and meeting the spiritual and physical needs of under-privileged refugees community in Dallas area offering them a church home, teaching English language and other skills that will assist them adopt and adjust in America. We do this in obedience to Christ's word
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
...Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to me. (Matt 25:35, 36, 40)
Regional Missions (Judea and Samaria)
The focus is to witness to the international students in Texas, and the whole of North America. Discipling and building Christian Character while also ministering to their physical needs. The other focus is to Partner with other churches to share our faith in Texas, and in North America.
International Missions (The Ends of the World)
We are focused to sending mission team to Kenya every year for a short term mission trip where we hold evangelistic meeting, feed and clothe the under-privileged. We also continue to partner with churches over in Kenya where our Senior Pastor Shadrack Ruto is a host of leadership development conference for Kenyan pastors. In future we are looking to partner with other churches to do short term mission trip to other areas of the world.
