Recurring Activities

Friday Nights
Every Friday night the Young Adults meet for a time of fellowship, and encouragement through the word of God. Various issues that pertain to the spiritual growth of a single person are addressed. This activity also allows for Godly friendships to be developed, discovery of spiritual gifts, and service opportunities.

Annual Retreats
Twice a year, in the months of March and August, the (UPYA) Upendo Young Adults travel to different states or cities to spend a weekend together in the presence of God. This occasion provides an opportunity for Young Adults to deepen their relationship with God, and each other through fellowship, the word of God, worship, praise, prayer, and have fun.

Thanksgiving
Thanks giving outreach is a ministry that was established to help UPYA reach other Young Adults from across the country. Each year, the Young Adults host other Young Adults from all over the United States and Canada for a great time of evangelism, praise and worship, great spiritual renewal, and friendship building.

Child
Mission

Of all the people mentioned in the Bible, nobody appears more frequently than David. His mobile life-style; struggles with Saul; friendship with Jonathan; spiritual growth and marriage difficulties all took place before he was 30.

While the Bible does not recognize young adulthood as a specific age period, like David, most Biblical people made their mark on history when they were young adults. UPYA therefore seeks to help individuals find an environment supportive of spiritual growth, friendship development, and service in the church, thus make a mark in the history of their life.
